Uncle Sam is on the lookout for these words in your tweets

It tus out Big Brother is watching ... your social network updates. Post to Twitter or Facebook using hot-button words and phrases like \"pirates,\" \"avalanche,\" or \"home grown\" -- or less obviously threatening terms like \"storm,\" \"aid,\" and \"power\" -- and you may ea the attention of the Department of Homeland Security.

(See a fuller list of the so-called \"Items of Interest\" here.) The \"monitoring terms\" are in a variety of categories, including domestic security, nuclear threats, \"Southwest border violence,\" and, predictably, terrorism. Released by the Electronic Privacy Information Center, they're meant to be used to \"alert officials [to] disturbances to national security right away,\" Mashable reports.
