Turkish TV host Gozde Kansu fired over low-cut top
A TURKISH TV presenter has been fired from her job after the govement criticised her for wearing a revealing top on television.
Gozde Kansu's outfit was called \"unacceptable\" by Huseyin Celik from the ruling Justice and Decelopment Party. He also said her outfit on the Veliaht show was \"extreme\".
\"We don"t intervene against anyone, but this is too much. It is unacceptable,\" he said.
France24.com confirmed that Ms Kansu had been fired after producers of the show initially had said that her \"busy schedule\" meant she was unable to host the following week's program.
Mr Celik defended his comments after Ms Kansu was fired.
\"I never named a show or a person,\" he wrote on Twitter. \"It was the media who alleged the names.\"
