Terrified mom discovers son in bed covered in blood after 10ft python bites his head
A HORRIFIED mum was woken by her six-year-old son screaming as a PYTHON attacked him in bed.

A mother in Australia was shocked to find a ‘big effing snake" wrapped around her screaming son.

Six-year-old Tyler woke up at 11.30pm to find an eight-foot-long python wrapped around his belly, with bites on his finger and face.

‘I jumped out of bed and went to Tyler to find a big effing snake wrapped around the bed head," his mum Tamara Thurgood, from New South Wales, wrote on Facebook.

‘I grabbed his arm to pull him off the bed but he was stuck, so I rolled him and then pulled. He had been bitten on the face and on the finger."

Tamara then called two male relatives, who came to the house and killed the python.

Bryan Robinson, a wildlife management specialist for Queensland Fauna Consultancy, told the BBC that snakes usually bite for self defence.

‘It doesn"t mean the snake was attacking him, the kid could have rolled on him in his sleep," he said.

‘Human beings do not fit into the prey selection of any Australian snakes."
