Terrell Suggs's guns taken by policeDue to Domestic Dispute Case

The Baltimore Sun has reported that Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs has surrendered several weapons in connection with a domestic case.

"The guns were surrendered over to police pursuant to the [Baltimore County Circuit] court order, and [Suggs and his girlfriend Candace Williams] are resolving their issues," said Warren Alperstein, Suggs' attoey. "All I can tell you is that he's in rightful and lawful possession of the guns but tued them over pursuant to the requirements of the law."

According to court records, Suggs filed a custody complaint against Williams on Nov. 19, and Williams filed a complaint after that. Two 911 calls were received from Suggs' address on Nov. 21, but no reports of those cases were taken.

Both Suggs and the Ravens have declined further comment to the Sun on the issue.

Williams, the mother of Suggs' two children, alleged in a December 2009 court filing that Suggs, in the words of the Sun, "threw a soap dispenser at her head, hit her in the chest with his hand, and held a bottle of bleach over her and their 1-year-old son." However, Suggs was neither investigated nor charged with a crime. Williams received a temporary protective order, but soon afterward rescinded it and withdrew a $70 million lawsuit as the two tried to reconcile.

Suggs, in his tenth year in the league, is the Ravens' all-time sacks leader. A few weeks back, he spoke to Yahoo! Sports about his interests beyond football and his plans for his film production company, Team Sizzle Films.
