Teenage girl Jessica Byrnes left with horrific injuries after a group of catcalling men attacked her

This is Jessica Byes and her face was left sore, swollen and bloody after a gang of men attacked her.

The 18-year-old from Haughton in Louisiana had been enjoying a day at the beach with her boyfriend.

On the way home the couple stopped at a local store, a group of men who were lingering nearby started to catcall her because she was wearing a bikini – you know, perfectly reasonable attire to go to the beach in.

Although her boyfriend, Jared Pelletier, tried to deter the street harassers, they attacked.

One of the men launched a metal pipe through the car window and it smashed into Jessica’s face breaking or damaging 12 of her teeth and slashing her bottom lip.

Since the scary incident, Jessica has launched a crowdfunding page to cover the medical costs of her injuries.

She’s going to need at least four tooth implants – maybe as many as six – and they cost $2,000 each.

Generous donors have already contributed almost $13,000 but she needs nearly double that for her treatment.
