Staten Island woman Candice Salvatore, reports abandoned baby that turns out to be a dog
If you call 911 to report an abandoned baby, you should probably assume that the officers think you're talking about an actual human baby. But when police officers in Staten Island responded to Candice A. Salvatore's call, they were shocked to find a baby pit bull instead. ("I didn't tell [the dispatcher] it was a human baby.
I just said it was a baby," Salvatore shrugged.) According to the police report, though, Salvatore told the surprised officer, "I needed to spice it up to get you guys to come faster."
