Splash star Nicole Eggert's battered and bruised back after botched high dive

Former Baywatch star Nicole Eggert has shared pictures of her Splash injury.

The 41-year-old star said she suffered swelling and bruising on her back after she back flopped into the pool during a taping of the ABC show last week. She was also checked for kidney damage.

In the photographs her torso is in a battered state - and it looks decidedly painful indeed.

Initial reports suggested she was rushed to hospital after the incident, but she took to her Twitter account over the weekend to say: 'Thnx 4 all the love but I am not in the hospital nor was I in a diving accident.'

The TV contest has already seen a multitude of celebrity injuries in only a month's time.

Chuy Bravo had to withdraw after fracturing his heel during diving practice, while Katherine Webb quit on doctor's orders this week thanks to a back injury.

Skier Rory Bushfield ruptured his eardrum a few weeks ago, but did not quit the show, while Kendra Wilkinson withdrew due to her fear of heights.

Nicole, however, claims she's now fine.

'I went to see a Dr Thurs after I dive I did on wed's taping of Splash,' she shared on her Twitter page on Saturday.'I was not in the hospital.'

According to the website, nothing was broken after an attempt at doing multiple flips, but doctors checked she suffered no inteal injuries from the impact and were 'monitoring her kidneys.'

Nicole has been showing off a slimmer figure since beginning the diving show.

The star, who left TV show Baywatch in 1994 after two years, has struggled with her weight since giving birth to her two children.

Nicole came top on last week's show and took her impressive form into this week's competition,
stepping up to do a reverse backflip off the highest board.

She pulled off a great dive, punching the air and beaming when she came up for air out of the water.

'I'm continually being blown away by the progress you're making,' said judge David Boudia as he praised her technical abilities, giving her nine points.

Meanwhile, fellow judge Steve Foley praised her massively improved self-confidence since the show's start.

'What a metamorphosis,' he said as he awarded her eight points, putting her at the top of the leader board.
