So long, Easter Bunny, PC police say you're too religious
The Easter Bunny could soon be an extinct species. Deeming the word "Easter" too religious, those fun events where kids run around looking for psychedelic eggs and candy are getting a PC makeover, and being rechristened plain old "egg hunts." In Edmonds, Wash., the directive came down from city officials who want the citywide candy-fest to be more inclusive of other faiths. In Madison, Ala., Heritage Elementary School has outright canceled all Easter events.
Fox News host Gretchen Carlson, for one, is totally outraged venturing that the bunny actually "comes from paganism or is a symbol of fertility or something." She added, "Have we just gotten so deep into this political correctness that we now just can't take the religion as it is, celebrate it and move on?" [Source]
