Selena Gomez pulled a Houdini act on live TV when she was grilled about her bad boy lover Justin Bieber.

The Disney star forced a fixed smile and looked off camera repeatedly when US entertainment reporter Dean Richards grilled her via satellite link for Chicago’s WGN Entertainment.

Alluding to her on-off lover’s delinquent tu, which has included piddling in a mop bucket in a night club, he asked the 21-year-old star: ‘You’re, you know, probably as close a friend to Justin Bieber as they come.

‘Is there something about him that we don’t get or we don’t understand?

‘I mean, there is one story after another of, you know, pretty outrageous behaviour that we’re reading about.’

But the Spanish inquisition-style interview didn’t go down to well as Gomez glanced away to her aides off camera.

He pressed the Disney star again asking: ‘What don’t we get about him or what is it that he’s not getting out there?’

But it was one step too far as Gomez suddenly disappeared off screen.

Richards could only chuckle to himself once he realised the snub.

Days earlier Gomez had conceded dating the 19-year-old Baby singer had been a ‘stressful’ experience.
