Saudi Arabian man sends a text from the hood of speeding car

This Saudi Arabian man is a real-life Easy Rider – as he nonchalantly sends a text message while sitting on the hood of a car travelling at 55mph.

His moment of madness has become a viral hit on the video-sharing website YouTube after more than a million tuned in to watch his dumb stunt.

Playing with his mobile phone, the mystery man seems oblivious to the dangers of his foolish antics – as he reclines to lounge against the windscreen, kicks his feet in the air and even climbs onto the roof of the car as it speeds down a highway.

The footage shows that all the passenger seats in the car, headed from Riyadh to Mecca, are full, so presumably that"s why he hitched a ride on the hood.

The clip is likely to give the ‘don"t text and drive" campaign a new headache to deal with, just when they thought they had covered all bases on the dangers of using phones when on the move.

And the person who shot the two-minute video also appears to be flouting the law – by filming the crazy episode while at the wheel of his car.

So is the Easy Rider daring or stupid? Watch the video above and let us know by posting a comment below.
