Sandy Springs home damaged by falling tree
Sandy Springs home crushed by tree while family slept

A tree came crashing down on a house in Sandy Springs early on Thursday moing.

The tree fell on the roof of a home on Mystic Drive off Roswell Road. Authorities say a few people were sleeping inside the house in the area where the tree came down. No one was hurt.

A family member living at the home said when he checked the house for damage, he found one of the branches had gone all the way through the house and into the basement.

Captain Scott McColl of the Sandy Springs Fire Department says it appears that the strong winds blew the tree down.
