Sadly, the RAZR isn't making a comeback

Motorola has denied the recent rumors that it plans to re-release its RAZR flip phone after an online teaser video for the Lenovo and Motorola event released last week showed the RAZR being used by students in an American high school.

The advert created speculation that a new version of the device would be launched running on the Android platform, to provide an alteative to the commonly used large screen, all metal smartphones. However, a statement by Motorola has since denied this.

'The RAZR was one of the most iconic phones ever designed and redefined how stylish a mobile phone can be” said the company 'While Moto is not re-releasing the RAZR, we will transform mobile again on June 9.”

The company, now owned by Chinese technology firm Lenovo, is due to unveil a new range of products at the Lenovo Tech World conference in San Francisco on the 9th of June, but a new version of the RAZR won't be one of them.
