Robin Thicke has revealed that his ‘mutual’ split Paula Patton may not be as mutual after all.

The Blurred Lines singer is still very much fighting for his marriage and said yesterday: ‘I’m just trying to get her back.’

The 36-year-old singer was quick to deny that his sexy performance with Miley Cyrus at the VMAs last year had anything to do with the split and said that his tour will continue on as normal and that his performances will be the same, even though some of his songs are about Paula.

According to TMZ, Paula called Robin last Friday and said their marriage was over. Robin then flew to Canada, where she was filming, but failed to change her mind.

Robin and Paula, who have a three-year-old son together, announced they were divorcing after eight-and-a-half years of marriage earlier this week. They said in a statement: ‘We will always love each other and be best friends, however, we have mutually decided to separate at this time.’
