Rapper Kevin Gates discovers that he’s dating his cousin, doesn’t care

WELL, this is awkward.

What did Louisiana rapper Kevin Gates do when he found out that the woman he had been dating for the last three months is actually his cousin? Tell his 1.3 million Instagram followers, of course!

The 28-year-old, who was bo Kevin Gilyard, made the revelation in two profanity-laden videos posted to the social media site.

“Come to find out she’s my cousin, you heard me?” Gates admitted in the first clip. “But I ain’t about to stop fu**ing with her. S**t, the pu**y good and we click.”

In the second video, he reveals that it was his grandmother who told him that he and his girlfriend — who had been told they looked like brother and sister — were related. But is that about to stop him? Nope.

“Y’all done got the hard part out of the way,” he said. “Why f**k up a good thing? I don’t get that.”

As Gawker points out, as weird as the situation may sound, the gig’s not up for Gates and his blood relative lady love. Louisiana may bar them from marrying, but it doesn’t bar them from sleeping with one another.
