PEACHTREE CITY, Ga.  — Two people have been charged with felony offenses in connection with a fatal fentanyl overdose in Peachtree City last year, authorities said.

Peachtree City police and firefighters were called to a residence within the city limits on Nov. 3, 2025, on a report of a possible drug overdose. Despite lifesaving efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Officials did not release the victim’s name or age.

A subsequent medical examination and toxicology report conducted by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation found a high level of fentanyl in the person’s system, which was determined to be a contributing factor in the death, police said.

Peachtree City police launched a criminal investigation to trace the source of the drugs. As a result, arrest warrants were issued Feb. 1 for Jordan Houston Lytton and Rachel Cecelia Myers. Both are charged with aggravated involuntary manslaughter, possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, and use of a communication device to facilitate a felony, according to authorities.

Myers was taken into custody with assistance from Sandy Springs police. In a search of her apartment, investigators said they found fentanyl along with methamphetamine, morphine, LSD and a firearm.

Police said the investigation remains ongoing as part of broader efforts to target illegal drug distribution in the region.
