COBB COUNTY, Ga. -- A Cobb County school bookkeeper has been arrested after police say she stole nearly $10,000 from the school she worked at.

Kara Pringle, 44, was charged with stealing $9,853.70 in cash from Osboe High School.

According to the arrest warrant, Pringle took the money from cookie and ticket sales and that was supposed to be deposited into the school's checking account, but she never deposited the money.

The warrant said Pringle had been stealing money since May of 2008.

The school’s website said Pringle had been with the district for seven years.

The arrest warrant said Pringle worked as the high school’s bookkeeper.
