Plastic surgery renders Japanese porn star Rina Nanase ‘elf-like’

JAPANESE po star and model Rina Nanase has copped ridicule for undergoing radical surgery to make her features more pixie-like, with fans declaring the results are less elfin than just plain elf.

Nanase, who makes adult films under the name Rumi Kanda, has been open about her quest for physical perfection and documented her surgery via her Twitter account.

Late last year she began a series of operations to thin down her cheeks, sharpen her chin, lengthen her nose and enlarge her eyes, sharing post surgery pictures as the scars healed.

But when she tweeted the first pictures of her completed look, the reactions from fans and followers were less than complimentary. Many reckon she now resembles Dobby the elf from the Harry Potter movies.

Others asked why such a beautiful young woman would go under the knife to “maim herself”, “ruining perfectly lovely features” and questioned her psychological wellbeing.

“The person before the surgery was very nice,” said one. “Does she have an eating disorder?” asked another. Someone else suggested “there are a lot of adult video actors with mental health issues” while a former fan lamented: “she looked pretty good until last August …”

But Ms Namase has shrugged off the criticism, insisting she is very happy with her new face and accusing her detractors of “jealousy”.

She says she hated her original features, describing her pre-surgery self as “a different person” who had a “fat” nose and “beady eyes.”
