Chantal Beyer gored by rhino while posing for pictures

Just because a wildlife expert tells you to stand close to that rhino doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Chantal Beyer, a 24-year-old student, had the misfortune of discovering that firsthand during a visit to a South African game park over the weekend.

As Beyer and her boyfriend posed for pictures in front of some rhinos, the park's owner suggested she \"stand just a little bit closer\" to the animals for a better shot, Beyer said. Seconds later, a rhino attacked her, its ho penetrating her chest and landing her in intensive care with a collapsed lung and broken ribs.

Beyer said that the owner had reassured her it was perfectly safe to approach the animals.
