Pastor Thomas Fortenberry accused of videotaping teenage girls covered in honey

A creepy clergyman landed in a sticky situation over his secret videotapes of four honey-dripping teen girls.

The Texas youth pastor is accused of making the home movies after encouraging the girls to join him in a version of the show "Fear Factor" - and to clean up afterward in a church shower.

Thomas Jason Fortenberry, 30, then used a hidden camera to videotape the young, church-going girls as they washed away the honey, police said.

Fortenberry might beat the rap for his sick shenanigans because of a three-year statute of limitations under Texas law.

The pervy pastor was charged with videotaping two 15-year-old girls and two 17-year-old girls as they showered to remove the honey covering their bodies as part of the "game," officials said.

The incident happened on Nov. 4, 2007, at the Greater Harvest Community Church in Pasadena, Texas.

When police questioned Fortenberry, he "would not deny that he videotaped the complainant(s) without ... consent or knowledge," a police report said.

"The defendant would only say that he had done things he should not have done."

According to police, Fortenberry personally selected the four teens to join in the "Fear Factor" competition. Once the girls were covered in honey, he told them to use the church shower and clean up.

The story emerged once Fortenberry eventually began dating one of the 17-year-olds. The victim, now 21, said Fortenberry told her about the taping when they were discussing marriage, police said.

Prosecutors said they were still discussing how to proceed with the case given the statute of limitations.

"These are serious accusations," Harris County assistant district attoey Roger Bridgwater said.

"It is incumbent upon us to make sure that we have the necessary evidence and that the charges we file are appropriate."
