Our blockbuster wedding was a blast and a half
These newlyweds made sure they had wedding snaps to remember

Like a scene from The Matrix, ‘groomzilla' Joe Stack punches the ground – sending his best man and ushers flying.

The unsuspecting guests also faced a Darth Vader-style chokehold and were forced to relive the American Revolution.

But while it may appear the bridegroom has gone over to the dark side, the wedding pictures are in reality a treat for Mr Stack and his wife Meredith, who are both film and video-game fanatics.

LOUISVILLE, KY - JUNE 21 - The groomsmen recreate the famous painting of George Washington during the American Revolution, on June 21, 2014, in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. Meredith and Joe Stack asked photographer Shane Elliott, 42, to spice up their wedding photos ñ but had no idea he would go to this effort. The groomsmen posed for the scenes and with the help of Photoshop trickery the scenes resemble action-packed blockbusters. PHOTOGRAPHY BY Shane Elliott / Barcroft Media UK Office, London. Wedding photographer Shane Elliot spent 20 hours editing the pictures in Photoshop, including adding details of real rock and gravel to the ‘superpunch'.

He also added surprises – a shark looms in the right hand coer of the George Washington picture and a stormtrooper in the Star Wars picture smokes a cigarette.

Mr Stack said: ‘We had a blast. Shane was rolling with our goofy antics, so it was easy. We had no idea Shane was going to 'touch up” the photos, it was such a great surprise.'

Mr Elliot, based in Louisville, Kentucky, said: ‘They were all in a great mood all day. They were a pretty tight group and shared a lot of private jokes and movie references to movies they'd all seen. The expressions in the ‘Force choke' pic are priceless.'
