ORLANDO Bloom is reportedly dating Lord of the Rings costar Liv Tyler, a month after splitting from wife Miranda Kerr.

The pair have been friends for years, before sparking up a relationship, reports Star magazine.

Bloom and Tyler were spotted getting cosy after tuing out to support Lord of the Rings costar Sir Ian McKellen in his New York production of Waiting for Godot.

"When they got behind closed doors, they were playfully tickling, gazing into each other’s eyes and holding hands,” a witness told Star, reports radaronline.

In September, Tyler was spotted supporting Bloom by catching his Broadway show Romeo and Juliet, heading backstage to catch up.

Bloom split from supermodel Kerr last month after six years together. The pair have a son, Flynn.

Tyler was previously married to Spacehog rocker Royston Langdon for five years before splitting in 2008. The pair have a son, Milo.
