Police: Triple shooting leaves 1 dead, 2 injured

Authorities say one person is dead and two others were injured in a shooting in DeKalb County late Wednesday night.

Police received a 911 call of a person shot on Snapfinger Woods Drive in DeKalb County around 10:30 p.m. Almost immediately, another caller reported a different shooting victim in the same area. When officers arrived, they found a man in his mid-twenties shot to death inside a vehicle.

”They discovered a white vehicle off the side of the road that had been driven into woodline, inside that vehicle we located one adult male deceased from apparent gunshot wounds, said Lt. Mark Lavine.

Officers found two more people shot not far from the white Jeep that smashed into a tree.

”We're trying to determine where exactly the crime scene is, if it all happened inside the vehicle or if something transpired outside the vehicle, we’re not sure at this time, Lavine said.

Police said both survivors were transported to a local hospital where one is listed in critical condition and the other was listed as non-critical.

Police believe the shootings are all related.
