Seeking help: Nadya Suleman, aka Octomom, has checked into rehab for prescription drug addiction

She's got 14 children to care for, but Nadya Suleman is taking some time to sort out her own problems.

According to reports, Suleman, aka Octomom, has checked into a rehab centre to seek help for a prescription drug problem.

TMZ.com are reporting that Octomom checked herself into the Southe Califoian Chapman House Drug Rehabilitation Centre over the weekend.

A spokesperson for Octomom told the website that she had become too dependent on the anti-anxiety medication Xanax, which she had been taking to help her 'deal with stress'.

The website quotes the spokesperson as saying: 'Nadya wanted to get off the Xanax she was prescribed by her doctor and lea to deal with her stress, exhaustion and anxiety with professional help with a team of doctors.

'Nadya wanted to deal with her issues and make sure she is the best mother she can be.'

While Octomom is being treated in rehab, she has reportedly employed a team of three nannies, and two friends to help look after her children - dividing up duties including transporting the massive brood to and from school.

TMZ also claim that Octomom is not paying for the treatment herself, as the rehab centre has offered to pick up the bill.

But that's not to say that Octomom couldn't afford the treatment, as she has eaed herself a lot of money through a huge pay-out from her recent adult film Octomom: Home Alone.

Previously on the verge of bankruptcy, Octomom was facing homelessness after struggling with mortgage payments on her old house for 18 months.

But thanks to the pay-out, Suleman was recently able to purchase a new property for her brood - a six bedroom, 5,000 square foot properly in Palmdale, Califoia.

Nadya says she has been chased by po moguls to be in an adult film since the birth of her octuplets.

'I always said no, because it went against all my principles,' she said.

'I’ve been celibate for 14 years and I’m a regular church-goer.'

Following her initial stardom for being the mother of only the second set of octuplets to be be bo alive in the United States, Nadya made a living from media opportunities.

However she soon struggled to keep up with her $9,600 per month family costs.

Every month she spends roughly $1,600 on babysitters, $1,600 on clothes and toys, $960 on food, $480 on cleaning and a maid, $400 on gas for school runs, $400 on electric, $400 on gas and water, $250 on sanitation and phone bills, $200 on insurance, $80 on gardening and $800 on security.

But in April she struck a lucrative five-figure deal with production company Wicked Pictures to make her raunchy film. She also owns half the movie - promising monthly royalty payments.

But she’d laid down boundaries - agreeing only to appear alone in the film meaning it featured no actual sex.

Nadya, 37, continued: 'I had to do it. I’ll just have to explain to the kids I only did it for them, once they are old enough.

'Nobody takes me seriously in job interviews because of all the negative things people say about "Octomom", like calling me a benefits parasite. I can’t get a normal job. I haven’t done anything wrong with the film. I’m just trying to be a good mum. Now we have this lovely house.'
