No Security Bottlenecks at Atlanta'S Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport

ATLANTA - Passengers were quickly passing through security checkpoints at Atlanta's main airport despite an Inteet protest campaign over full-body scans.

It took about 10 minutes Wednesday during the day for most travelers to clear security at the north terminal of Hartsfield-Jackson Inteational Airport.

TSA officers had at least four full-body scanners in the terminal. Passenger Ashley Humphries received a full pat-down after bobby pins in her hair set off a metal detector. The 22-year-old said she understands how the pat-downs could offend some people, especially since screeners touch the groin and chest.

But Humphries said the extra security made her feel safe.

Passenger Catherine Pfeiffer of Texas said that if people don't want the hassle of the new security checks, they shouldn't fly.
