No charges against Snellville girl who accidentally shot, killed teen

No charges will be filed against a 12-year-old girl in Snellville, who police say accidentally shot and killed a teenager on Friday..

Trevayne R. Cozart, 17, of Stone Mountain, was pronounced dead Saturday afternoon at Gwinnett Medical Center, police said. The youth died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Cozart was visiting a 16-year-old friend about 10:30 p.m. Friday in the 2900 block of Centerville Highway when the friends 12-year-old sister accidentally shot him, police said.

A parent of the girl was home at the time of the shooting, but was not in the room, Gwinnett Police spokeswoman Cpl. Illana Spellman said.
