Most wanted woman in world Brenda Delgado arrested

Brenda Delgado, 33 – who was wanted of hiring a hitman to kill her ex-boyfriend’s new partner – has been arrested in Mexico.

She is accused of murder after dentist Kendra Hatcher was gunned down as she parked her car.

Delgado is only the ninth woman ever to make the top 10 most wanted list of fugitives in history.

Ms Hatcher, 35, was shot in the car park of her block of flats in Dallas, Texas, last September.

Delgado – a Mexican citizen – was supposedly jealous after Ms Hatcher began dating Delgado's ex-boyfriend, Ricardo Paniagua.

Mr Paniagua – a skin doctor who had dated Delgado for two years – had reportedly recently introduced Ms Hatcher to his parents and was planning a holiday with her.

After her arrest, Delgado was taken to a Mexican prison until the US can arrange extradition for her trial.

Separately, the suspected gunman has also been arrested.

A reward of $100,000 was offered for information leading to her capture.

Delgado faces charges of capital murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

FBI officer Thomas Class Sr said: "Although she didn’t pull the trigger herself, she is still responsible for the murder."
