Miss Colombia candidate Paola Builes disqualified because bikini was 'too revealing'
Organizers of the event said that a photo of Paola Builes, 21, is "too suggestive."

Model Paola Builes, 21, candidate for the crown of the most beautiful in Colombia, was ousted from the competition after a photo of her was leaked online in which she appears in a skimpy swimsuit.

In a statement released to the press they said that the bikini was \"too suggestive\" and therefore not in the spirit of the contest.

According to the local media, the photos were leaked to judges by followers of a rival candidate after Builes was tipped to win the event.

Joualism student Paola had already won the Miss Antioquia heat - representing north-weste Colombia - and bookies tipped her as the favorite to win the overall event.

Ironically, the final includes a stage where contestants are expected to also wear a bikini.

But according to the competition spokesman that is different, as it is unpaid and not professional - and the candidates are not promoting the costumes that they are wearing.
