Mexican doctor Sabina Mota brutally tortured and left to die after delivering stillborn baby

A MEXICAN doctor has been drugged, brutally tortured and left to die after delivering a stillbo baby boy.

The female gynaecologist, Dr Sabrina Mota, is believed to have been attacked by the relatives of a woman whose baby was delivered stillbo, reported Mexican police.

The shocking attack which occurred in the city of Zamora, in the Mexican state of Michoacan de Ocampo, has seen the doctor left with brutal injuries which nearly took her life reports vancouverdesi.com.

The shocking incident began when Dr Mota left work after finishing a night shift.

She was set upon by her attackers who took her back to her own house where they reportedly gave her muscle relaxant drugs to stop her from fighting back.

Helpless and unable to escape, the attackers set to work, cutting off two of her fingers and hacking at her ovaries and womb.

When they had finished, the attackers chained her up and fled, leaving the doctor for dead.

Fortunately the gynaecologist woke up from the drug haze she was in and screamed for help, alerting neighbours who ran to her aid and called paramedics.

A colleague told police that the woman"s family had shown up at the hospital accusing the doctor of killing the child.

She went on to say that people often threaten doctors when things go wrong, but that this family obviously meant what they were saying.

Police are investigating the crime and are looking for the mother and her relatives who have gone missing.
