Melvin Smith, Man Suspected of killing Frederick woman returned to Md.
A man suspected of fatally shooting a Frederick woman has waived extradition from Pennsylvania and has been retued to Frederick County.
Police say 27-year-old Melvin “Rock” Smith was taken into custody in Mckeesport, Pa. He was extradited back to Maryland where he will stand trial in the July 8 slaying of 33-year-old Tranice Richardson.
Investigators say the two had been romantically involved.
