May the fondant be with you: Meet the Stormtrooper cake
Life-sized edible Stormtrooper cake

Wonder if they needed a lightsaber to cauterize this confection from the dark side: a life-size Stormtrooper cake, created specially by Oakleaf Cakes for the Arisia Sci-Fi Convention in a galaxy far, far away (actually, the show's in Boston).

Constructed atop a metal frame and two Rice Krispies legs, the 300-pound Imperial baked good took a crew of 10 about two weeks to build and served nearly 600 show attendees -- sorry, Jabba, no leftovers for you.

Star Wars geeks are marveling over the treat's creation on Twitter, while one Gizmodo commenter made an entirely different observation: "How many 6'4" Stormtrooper cakes have you made that had more exact anatomical proportions?"

What's the best theme cake you've ever seen?
