Man saws off left foot in bizarre effort to avoid work
Most people get cold feet just faking an illness to skive off work, but one Austrian resident has taken avoiding work to a whole new level.
Apparently stressing out about an imminent health check at the labor department to determine whether he was fit enough to retu to work, the 56-year-old fired up his mechanical saw and sliced his left foot off just above the ankle. And for good measure, he threw it into a hot oven.
Emergency workers arrived to find the man conscious and recovered the foot from the oven.
According to the local police chief, \"The foot was taken to the hospital but it was so badly bued that it cannot be sewn on.\"
