MYSTERY surrounds the death of a Prada and L"Oreal cover girl found in her apartment with her two pet dogs dead nearby.

Katerina Netolicka, 26, was discovered in her bath at the flat she shared with her boyfriend Jakub Petruzalek, 29, in Litvinov, in the Czech Republic.

Czech media reported that at the time of the death Mr Petruzalek was in Russia where he plays ice hockey for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg. The couple had been together for five years.

Netolicka"s body was found by her brother who broke into her flat after he became worried when she didn"t answer her phone.

The 26-year-old, pictured in a Harper's Bazaar magazine shoot, has been modelling since 2004

The cause of death was unknown although there were reports she had suffered from depression. A model who worked with her in New Year several years ago said she had a history of self-harm though other friends said she was much happier since she met her boyfriend.

"Sometimes she acted like two totally different people lived inside her,” said the model, who did not want to be named.

Netolicka was also known for kick-boxing and had won the Czech Championships last month. Another friend, Adrian Smrcka, speculated whether the death was related to her kickboxing training.
