Lady Gaga bares all in bizarre meditation video - rude or art?
Lady Gaga appears completely naked in the two-minute video

FOR Lady Gaga, this, is "art" - for almost everyone else, it's just all-out, full-frontal nudity.

Either way, Lady Gaga is completely naked for the world to see, and she doesn't care.

The singer bared all for a bizarre video performing the "Abramovic Method" to support the Marina Abramovic Institute (MAI).

In the footage, Gaga was pictured surrounded by crystals, breathing deeply while lying on the floor (and with yellow hos on her face), walking around starkers with her hands in the air and "dry-heaving" while naked in the woods.

The video was filmed to promote the unconventional exercise method which is designed to help participants "increase awareness of their physical and mental experience in the moment".

Gaga practiced the method for a two-minute video, entitled The Abramovic Method Practiced by Lady Gaga, that was posted on MAI's Vimeo profile on Wednesday.

The 27-year-old hummed one note that resonated throughout the piece in a haunting fashion before appearing before the camera baring her private parts.

Last month Gaga joined Marina, the founder of Abramovic Method, at a benefit event in New York's Watermill Center.

The star is a huge supporter of the organisation, which has just launched a Kickstarter campaign to build an "interdisciplinary performance and education centre, home to long durational work and the Abramovic Method".

The movement's mission is to house, generate and support all types of art.

"Marina Abramovic Institute is dedicated to the presentation and preservation of long durational work, including that of performance art, dance, theatre, film, music, opera, and other forms that may develop in the future," the mission statement reads.

"MAI will foster collaboration between art, science, technology, and spirituality, bringing these fields into conversation with long durational work. MAI will provide an educational space to host workshops, lectures, residencies, and research."
