KANYE West made a threatening phone call to talk show host Jimmy Kimmel earlier today, telling him to “apologise publicly” for a comedy skit that made fun of the rapper.

Kimmel shared the details of the bizarre conversation with his TV audience.

“Your life is going to be much better if you apologise,” Kanye said to the comedian during the call.

“I am the most powerful voice in the media. I am ‘Pac.’ You’ll never be able to show your face at a 14-year-old’s high school football game and be cool again,” he reportedly said.

Here’s the harmless comedy skit that sent Kanye over the edge.

After the threatening phone call, Kanye took to social media site Twitter to launch a torrent of abuse at the comedian.

The back and forth banter was nothing short of disgusting (we’ve had to omit some of the tweets due to some rather unsavoury language).

Jimmy Kimmel has guaranteed that this is not a prank, and that he’ll keep us posted as the story develops.

Grow up Kanye.
