Kahtanna Culp: Teacher, 29, had sex with male student who then tried to blackmail her

A former high school teacher has been charged after she allegedly had sex with a male student who then tried to blackmail her.

Kahtanna Culp, 29, is believed to have told the school's principal about the illicit affair in December.

She had reportedly tried to end the relationship but the boy threatened to reveal what was going on unless the teacher paid him off.

Culp, who taught at Northbrook High School in Houston, Texas was fired and the police were informed, according to court documents this week. 

She has been charged with having an improper relationship with a student.

The teenage boy told police that he and Culp had sex on multiple occasions while he was still at school, according to chron.com.

The boy also claimed that he had lived with the teacher from shortly before he graduated last May until November.

He also said Culp had given him and his friends marijuana at her home, some as young as 14 years old.

The school district said that it took the allegations seriously and that they were cooperating fully with police.

Culp's attoey denies the claims against his client.
