Jersey Shore's Deena Cortese proudly unveils her bikini body after weight loss

With Jersey Shore over, Deena Cortese has swapped fist-pumping for heart-thumping workouts. 

The 26-year-old shared a glimpse of her slimmed down bikini body on Twitter on Wednesday as she geared up for her summer holiday.

'Almost Aruba ready,' she wrote.

'Couple more weeks to go! Couple more pounds to lose!'

Deena has been working on her weight loss for some time, revealing she had lost 15 pounds and went from a size 8 to a size 4 back in October.

'I’ve always struggled with my body image,' she told InTouch at the time.

'My weight was getting out of control, and I knew it was time to do something about it.'

Deena is now also adjusting to life after the hit MTV show.

Four months after the series finished, the star is happily living at home with her mother in New Jersey, well away from the spotlight.

'Normal people who are on reality shows don’t want to go back to normal life,' she told the New York Post in a recent interview. 'I’m one of the rare ones.'

'Lucky for me,' she says, 'I always kept in my head: "This is gonna be over soon. I’m not gonna forget who I am.'"
