Jennifer Love Hewitt reveals she once sent Matt Damon a bed

JENNIFER Love Hewitt says she once sent Matt Damon a bed - and never got a thank you for it.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live! last night, the 35-year-old told the late night host she felt sorry for the young actor after he lamented how he was always travelling.

“I was reading an article, I was like 19 or 20 years old,” she told Kimmel, “and he (Damon) said this really sad thing in the article about how all of his dreams were coming true and he was working really hard but he didn’t feel that he had a bed of his own, he was always travelling so much.

“I remember being really busy also and thinking, that’s so sad, to have all your dreams come true but to not feel like you have a solid foundation.

Love Hewitt said she though for some reason that “an aerobed would help that for him”.

“In my head, I thought, He can travel with it, then it’s always his bed and it’s always like his safe place. I didn’t go over it with anyone, I should’ve been like, “what do you think, hey, should I send this to Matt Damon?” and they would’ve been like, ‘No, you’re crazy, don’t do it!’

“But I didn’t. So I got the information he was in Paris, filming something, so I sent it to Paris.

She said she was disappointed when he failed to say thank you.

“It was really sad, it made me sad in my heart,” she said. “I understand that maybe his security never gave it to him, that’s a possibility.”

Love Hewitt and her husband Brian Hallisay recently welcomed the birth of their daughter Autumn James Hallisay in November last year.
