Jennifer Lopez’s Boyfriend, Casper Smart, Receives More VIP Treatment Than She Does: Photos

It's hard to out-diva Jennifer Lopez, but Casper Smart has done just that!

On Wednesday, as the rain poured down in New York City, the couple braved the elements to have a lunch date at Cipriani Downtown. They received VIP treatment at the celeb-friendly restaurant -- with personal umbrella holders keeping them dry as they walked from their chauffeur-driven SUV into the eatery.

However, perhaps the best part of the photo op was that the 43-year-old megastar's young backup-dancer boyfriend one-upped her when it came to having high-level needs. The 26-year-old, who was dressed in a full suit, had not one but two older men shielding him from the raindrops, while a leather-clad J.Lo -- who topped Forbes's Celebrity 100 list of highest eaers last year -- had just one.

And Smart appeared to fully enjoy the superstar treatment, striding confidently into the restaurant with nary a drop on his suit, while the men accompanying him had rain-soaked pants.

Of course, this isn't Lopez's first boyfriend to enjoy the benefits of a personal umbrella holder. In 2001, Sean "Diddy" Combs was famously photographed strolling the beaches of St. Tropez as his then-valet and personal assistant, Fasworth Bentley, held a white parasol above the mogul's head. The photo made Bentley "famous oveight," he later told the New York Times. He left Diddy's employ soon after, landing a gig as host of MTV's series "From G's to Gents," and he wrote a book, "Advance Your Swagger: How to Use Manners, Confidence, and Style to Get Ahead."

Despite their 18-year age difference, Lopez and Smart have been going strong since 2011. And while it's hard for some ordinary folks to date superstars -- especially one at Lopez's level -- Smart has certainly adjusted to the posh lifestyle.
