'It's over' for Gosling and Mendes
RYAN Gosling fans, rejoice. The Hollywood hunk and Eva Mendes are reportedly "taking a break" from their relationship.
The A-list couple have apparently decided to pump the breaks on their two-year romance after deciding that things were "moving too fast."
"There was a realisation before Thanksgiving that they took things way too fast and were rushing toward a marriage that neither of them particularly needed," a source told Radar Online. "They've decided to take a break to re-evaluate their romance."
Female fans were left devastated earlier this year by rumours of an impending engagement, but it seems that won't be happening anytime soon.
According to a source close to the Gosling, the 33-year-old was the one who was undecided about a future with Mendes, 39, whereas "Eva wanted to have his babies."
Don't we all.
To make matters worse, Eva stars in Gosling's 2014 directorial debut, How to Catch a Monster, a fantasy-neo-noir film.
"The real question is how Eva is going to figure into Ryan's plans," the source added. "They both know they need some kind of resolution in their relationship before they go out and promote their movie, in which Ryan directed Eva in a very big part.
"At the end of the day they are both so uncertain about their future."
Does this mean there could be hope for Gosling and Rachel McAdams yet?
