Is it OK to Pee in the Ocean?
Don’t feel bad peeing at the beach, urine and ocean water are basically the same

The next time you are stuck on the beach with a full bladder, feel free to release it into the ocean because Science says it's fine.

According a video by science-themed YouTube channel Reactions, urine is over 95 per cent water.

It also contains sodium, potassium and chloride, which are all also found in seawater.

Even the nitrogen in pee is useful, combining with water to create the ammonium that feeds ocean plant life.

Don't believe us? Watch the video below and never feel pee guilt at the beach again.
