'I wish my teacher knew...' is the most heartbreaking thing on the internet today

teacher has shared notes from her pupils, and some of them are heartbreaking.

Kyle Schwartz asked the third graders at Doull Elementery in Denver, Colorado, to finish the sentence ‘I wish my teacher knew…’

The one at the top of this article is enough to move anyone to tears.

When we asked to use her pictures, she Ms Schwartz said: ‘Please shed light on the impact of student voice’.

She said that she wanted to build trust with her class and learn something about them.

Most answered anonymously, but Ms Schwartz admits she was blown away by their responses.

She’s also been an inspiration to other teachers who have started connecting with their students in the same way.
