FILM star Hugh Jackman cheated injury as he was attacked by a stalker — who threw an electric razor at him.

The hairy sidebued hunk — who plays Wolverine in X-Men — was heading into a gym when the woman ambushed him, screaming: “I love you!”

She then reached into her PANTS to pull out the electric razor — said to be filled with her pubic hair — which she tearfully lobbed at the Hollywood star. Jackman, 44, told yesterday how he was relieved because he feared she was reaching for a knife or a gun.

Gym staff in New York threw out the crazed fan — Califoian Katherine Thurston, 47 — and called cops. She was nicked nearby and later appeared in court.

Last night she was being held on $15,000 bail. She allegedly told police: “I was very impressed with X-Men 2 so started emailing him.”

Thurston is said to have explained chucking the razor at him by saying: “I hated him having those whiskers.”

Shaken Jackman — who starred in Les Miserables — said: “It was obviously frightening.”

It was not his first hairy moment involving Thurston — who is thought to have first approached him last year at a San Francisco concert. After trailing him to New York she last month confronted the Aussie star’s wife near their seven-year-old daughter Ava’s school.

Thurston is said to have told shocked Deborra-Lee Fuess, 57: “I’m going to marry your husband.”

Police said that following her arrest for the gym attack she told them: “It is not against the law to have two wives.”

She was charged with menacing, stalking, harassment, trespassing and possessing a weapon — the black shaver.

Jackman praised cops for taking the threat seriously, saying: “For me, my main conce is for my family. I hope the woman gets the help she needs.”
