Houston Man Johnny Mendoza Accused of ‘Sexting’ 16-Year-Old

HOUSTON - A 27-year-old man is accused of exchanging sexually graphic text messages with a 16-year-old girl he met at church.

Johnny Mendoza now faces a felony charge of ‘online solicitation of a minor.’

According to investigators within the Harris County Constable’s Office Precinct 4, the teenage victim’s mother alerted authorities to the alleged crime.

She told authorities she caught her daughter using a cell phone, allegedly provided to her by Mendoza. The phone contained sexually explicit messages between the teen and Mendoza, according to investigators.

A subsequent investigation revealed one message from Mendoza that read he “could not wait to have her on top of him again.”

When questioned, the victim told authorities she had met Mendoza at church, and the pair had been “dating” for four months.

Mendoza was placed in the Harris County lockup on $20,000 bail.
