Hospital staff punished for sharing man with 'eel up his bottom' story
Auckland City Hospital staff punished for sharing man with eel up his bottom

In faiess to the staff at Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand, it would have taken a superhuman effort not to share the small matter of a man seeking emergency help because he had an eel stuck up his butt. Alas, 33 staff members have been punished after it was found there was \"no legitimate reason\" for all of them to ogle, and share with the public, X-rays of this man's embarrassing predicament. (Apparently \"WTF?!\" isn't just cause.)

Some staff involved in the great eel leak of 2012 were fired, while others were given verbal and written waings. The patient, who had to have the eel surgically removed, has been issued an apology. [Source]
