Mack and her 21-year-old boyfriend Tommy Schaefer, are accused of killing Mack"s wealthy mother, Sheila von Wiese Mack in a five-star resort in Bali in August last year.

Their trial, in the Denpasar District Court, has been ongoing for the past month.

The court has heard claims from Mack and Schaefer, during their evidence, that before the killing Mrs Mack insulted Schaefer about his racial background and threatened the unbo baby.

He is accused of using a heavy bowl to bash and kill Mrs Mack while his girlfriend hid in the hotel room"s bathroom.

The pair then stuffed her body in a suitcase and left it in a taxi at the hotel reception, before fleeing and checking into another hotel.

The couple has testified in court that the baby which is about to be bo was the source of the argument which ended in Mrs Mack"s death.

The mother and daughter were already on holiday in Bali before Schaefer flew to join them and for the couple to break the news to Mrs Mack that the teenager was pregnant.

Schaefer claims that during the argument over the pregnancy, Mrs Mack made racial slurs against him and demanded her daughter abort the baby, before trying to strangle him.

He then hit her with the metal bowl. Both Mack and Schaefer face charges of premeditated murder, which carries the death penalty, and of murder.

The prosecutors are due to deliver their sentence demand in the court next week.

Schaefer will not be permitted to be at the hospital for the birth of his daughter and has remained in Kerobokan prison.

The pair last saw each other earlier on Tuesday in the jail clinic.

The baby"s due date is April 1 but it is understood a Caesarian will be conducted later Tuesday.

Under jail rules Mack would be permitted to keep the baby in jail with her until she tus two.
