Grandma loses thread from glove, gains fine for littering
Valerie Davis, a 71-year-old Welsh grandmother, was fined $118 for littering, after a single thread fell from her gloves onto the pavement. Davis didn't notice the thunderous crash the thread made when it hit the pavement, so she was confronted by a police officer who gave her a ticket.
\"I told the man it was a complete accident, but he said it was still litter and to take the matter up in court,\" Davis told The Express. An \"embarrassed\" Blaenau Gwent town council said they would withdraw the fine and conduct an investigation.
