Some may say this guy dodged a bullet when his girlfriend tued down his proposal.

He set up an elaborate spectacle to ask his girlfriend to marry him, but things took a tu for the worse when she saw the size of the diamond.

She burst into tears when he got down on one knee in Chengdu, south-west China, before he opened the box.

But upon inspection of the one-carat rock he"d got she tued and left, according to People"s Daily Online.

Before he got down on one knee there were dancers performing and someone brought in a large bouquet of roses.

Afterwards, a series of messages revealed why she tued him down.
