Girl suffers 'a thousand cuts', thanks to boyfriend
16-year-old girl suffers 'a thousand cuts' from abusive boyfriend

A 29-year-old boyfriend locked up his 16-year-old girlfriend in an apartment for more than a month and meted out horrendous treatment to her.

Initially he hit her once every day. From there he progressed to beating her up with belts, metal rods and even a butchering kife to abuse her.

She finally managed to escape from the apartment when her abuser had gone out to meet his friends. Hardened police officials were horrfied to see the girl's state as she was covered with numerous cuts, bruises, swellings and scabs.

One of the officials told Asia One: \"You can"t see any skin on her back as it is all scabs from wounds,” said one officer. Her face had six to seven open cuts, with one 7 to 8cm long.\"

She was in so much pain that she could hardly bear to wear clothes as the material would stick to her open wounds.

She also suffered a hip bone fracture as a result of those injuries.
