A German tourist has died after trying to take a jumping selfie at the edge of a cliff.

The man was visiting Machu Picchu at the time.

Officials say that the ma had overlooked the safety waings at the ancient site in the Peruvin Andes, and had gotten into some trouble after he jumped into the air to take a selfie.

His body was receovered yesterday in a ravine and taken to the local police station.

Authorities say that he will then be moved to a morgue in Cusco.

It"s not the first time someone has died while trying to take the perfect selfie.
