Gainesville man Antwan Xavier Earls charged in double shooting

Gainesville police have charged a man in the double shooting at an apartment complex on Atlanta Street in Hall County Friday.

Police said 24-year-old Antwan Xavier Earls of Gainsville is charged with two counts of aggravated assault, and said additional charges are forthcoming.

One of the victims is still listed in critical condition at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Police said she suffered numerous gunshot wounds to the chest.

Police said the other victim is believed to be listed in fair condition.
